Job Description

The project manager role as described per below is part of the Display Experience team, which belongs to the CK Architecture and Visuals department. The Display Experience team consists of 3 hubs: 2D Visual, 3D Production and Digital. Thereby, the project manager’s role would be a fusion of the 2D Visual and 3D Production hub, focusing on projects for the Calvin Klein Outlet business. The job takes place in the Calvin Klein Amsterdam based headquarters. The Project Manager EMEA reports into the Senior Project Manager (Display Experience) EMEA.

2D Visual

Outlet Campaign

The Campaign project encompasses the management of the design, production and rollout of Outlet windows and in store switch out, in close collaboration with the 2D Visual manager, marketing and retail buying team.

Outlet Consumer Messaging

Working closely with the 2D Visual project manager and the divisions to ensure the support of European product stories through strong CM. This also encompasses the realization of local and market requests in terms of design, production and delivery, driving all Outlet related print projects within the team.

3D Production

Outlet Creative

The role requires close collaboration with the 3D Production manager, Outlet VM Manager, the Outlet division and marketing team in order to oversee the production of 3D kit for window and in-store creative for all Outlet sites in the EMEA region. Additionally, a collaboration with the store development team might be required to ensure creative ideas can be implemented and considered for retail openings / refits. The role is strongly determined by project management skills: from concept through sample development and implementation of the 3D kit.

The Ideal Candidate

General Skills

  • Fluent in English and preferably additional languages represented in the CK EMEA outlet business (Dutch, Polish, Italian, Russian,..)
  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite applications and preferably CAD programs
  • Experienced in retail or marketing related project management

2D Visual

Outlet Campaign

  • Management of seasonal windows and in store campaign switch out across Outlet channels
  • Management of Outlet campaign related requests across the Europe, Russia+ and MEA+ markets
  • Making the Outlet campaign process as efficient as possible, by collaborating effectively with the switch out supplier
  • Budget management/optimization and management of recharge process
  • Active collaboration with the 2D Visual project manager in order to create coherency across linked projects
  • Creation of channel specific campaign gazettes by defining image priorities amongst the assets signed off by New York for the EMEA market in communication with the Europe marketing team
  • Ensuring that all relevant information is in place on our digital database on time in order to turn around concepts in a swift and accurate manner
  • Artwork signoff and approval prior to production launch
  • Overseeing new graphic requests in terms of re-orders and special requests (such as marketing related events)
  • Alignment of all direct team members and markets on scheduling and installation
  • Handing over clear information and content to the VM managers for the creation of accurate guidelines
  • Working closely with the Store Development and Shop in Shop teams to ensure correct visual identity & sign off on all new store concept visuals and hoardings Collaboration with the senior manager on improving the Outlet campaign section on the digital database

Outlet Consumer Messaging

  • CM development that is in line with the brand’s corporate identity and market needs in close collaboration with the in-house graphic designer and 2D Visual Project Manager
  • Briefing the graphic designer on creating clear templates and guidelines to communicate to the print supplier
  • Creation of a concept and sample brief including all necessary and technical information such as specs, allocation and artworks for the supplier
  • Independent management of sample adjustments and development
  • Sample and budget signoff with senior management
  • Overseeing roll out production and delivery with print supplier
  • Being the main contact for Outlet related local market and special requests
  • Owning timelines to ensure all projects briefed are delivered to the business on time
  • Alignment of Store Development/SIS team on all seasonal opening pack requirements and updates
  • Budget management/optimization and management of recharge process
  • Review of the sustainability aspect of current print projects and working on continuous strategy development to ensure maximum improvement within the given framework
  • Monitoring the implementation of new Full Price projects in order to streamline the visual identity in Outlets from a CM perspective
  • Handover of clear content to the VM team to assure the creation of accurate market guidelines
  • Managing CM and Campaign delivery for Expansion projects

3D Production

Outlet Creative

  • Development of creative kit that is in line with the brand’s corporate identity and serves all markets needs (non-seasonal and seasonal)
  • Covering EMEA needs and budget requirements, seeking global alignment
  • Submission of project deliverables, status reports, proper production plans and supplier briefs
  • Management of multiple suppliers and tendering sessions while ensuring quality and items are produced at the best costs
  • Implementation of basic to strong bespoke design for the EMEA Outlet market, while at the same time following the global directive
  • Overseeing Outlet installations in key cities if required
  • Seasonal production, roll-out and logistics management
  • Facilitation of change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule
  • Implementation of communication processes between all parties involved
  • Respecting and considering sustainable materials and advising markets on recycling and disposal methods
  • Creation of clear and comprehensible guideline content to be handed over to VM team
  • Consultation on 3D production for new openings or refits in close collaboration with the Store Development team
  • Collaboration with the senior manager on improving the Outlet part of the 3D section on the digital database
