Position Description:

The Retail Visual Merchandising and Windows team is responsible for the look and feel of the Calvin Klein stores across Europe and Mea+, in all own & operated, franchise, and wholesale locations.From concept through to store delivery this team works on all aspects of the seasonal windows, in-store visual merchandising, communications, training tools, guidelines, store openings and refitsThe role of the VM Projects & Communications Manager is responsible for all communication and VM projects across the European and mea+ regions, this candidate would need a minimum of 5 years experience within a retail focused project management role, as well as be experienced in managing a small team.

Key Deliverables:

Workshops & Guidelines

Run the design development and production of all seasonal VM and windows workshops. A platform to communicate, inspire and educate local markets on new concepts. Working alongside the graphic design team, ensure that each ‘market facing’ project ran by your team is supported by a clear, functional guidelines, to ensure that local markets are implementing new tools correctly.

Internal Communication

Drive cross department communication, aligning store development and store concept teams on any changes to windows concepts, campaign or VM tools. 

VM APP’s and VM Portals

Drive both your team and in house APP teams on the development and maintenance of market user faces such as the VM app and the VM portal, to ensure we have the best tools at hand to support our local markets and improve communication flow between THE Amsterdam office and the countries.

Portfolio Management & Data

Drive your team on the maintenance of existing store data and collection of new store data. To include, fixture count, mannequin count, translations and accurate window diagrams, to improve the visibility of our European business, allowing your project management team to turn projects round at an efficient pace, accurately and inline with individual markets needs.

Consumer Messaging & VM Tools

In collaboration with our New York office, drive your team in running the design development and production of all consumer messaging and VM tools inline with European needs. Work with store data to ensure your team delivers the correct tools to the business, to allow local markets to commercially drive new collections, promotions and sale. Ensure that all consumer messaging and tools designed are made available to our franchise partners to buy, through structured and visual sell in documents.


Working with external suppliers, artwork, produce and deliver seasonal advertising campaigns to all retail and wholesale locations within our local markets.

In Store Creative

In collaboration with the New York office, design and produce seasonal in store creative for flagship locations, inline with window concepts. Design and produce seasonal in store digital set ups for flagship locations. 

The Ideal Candidate

Desired Skills and Job Requirements

  • Good level English language (written & spoken)
  • Good knowledge of Retail in the market place
  • 5 years experience managing retail focused projects
  • Experience in people management
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Team player, excellent in building strong relationships with other divisions
  • Good knowledge of design and an eye for detail
  • Mid level graphic design skills (Photoshop, InDesign)
