Job Description

We are currently looking for a Development & Production Coordinator, to follow all aspects of the critical path from sampling through to bulk production.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the critical path to develop sample collections, process bulk orders, control deliveries and effectively communicate within the Company and with external suppliers and the Production office in Italy for mens and womens collections
  • Liaise between design and suppliers/Production office in Italy to develop the collection in line with the critical path
  • Create and maintain accurate information on the SAP system for style creation, BOMs, garment cost and purchase orders
  • Support design and technical departments during fittings and communicate findings to suppliers
  • Place orders of bulk garments, monitor deliveries, finding solutions to any issues that arise and negotiating discounts where necessary
  • Arrange and undertake visits to suppliers in the UK and overseas     
  • Administrate sample and bulk orders and work flow for Company Shirtline
  • Negotiate cost prices and calculate landed prices
  • Control stock and place orders for bulk trims and care labels

Location

Split between our North London Production office and Central London Design Studio. Travel within the UK and Europe is required.

The Ideal Candidate

Role Requirements

  • Fashion related degree or equivalent, with minimum 2 years’ production or product development experience
  • Excellent verbal & written communication, time management and organisational skills
  • Detail and quality oriented
  • Previous experience of SAP, Prologic or similar system
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Knowledge of Italian, Portuguese or Japanese would be an asset but not essential

It's MHL label was established in 2004 and is workwear inspired and European produced. Since 1999 the company has produced shirts and nightwear in its own North London factory.

The headquarters, based at 34 Wigmore Street, London, accommodate both the design studio and flagship shop selling the mens and womens collections alongside homeware products that complement the design ethos, including Poole Pottery, Ercol and Anglepoise together with designers such as Robert Welch and David Mellor.
