Job Description

Job Summary:

Marc Jacobs is looking for a Store Manager to oversee operations at our Bookmarc New York location. Bookmarc stocks books related to photography, fine art, fiction, music, pop culture and rare titles. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee all aspects to store function: sales generation, people development, operations and visual merchandising 
  • Responsible for training, coaching and developing all Sales Supervisors, Sales and Support Associates on the sales floor or in the stock room 
  • Ensure each customer receives outstanding customer service 
  • Perform and train staff on POS transactions
  • Ensure facility maintenance, presentation and organization
  • Meet personal and store sales goals
  • Opening and closing of the store
  • Manage all operational practices
  • Ensure execution of effective merchandising strategies

The Ideal Candidate

Requirements:

  • Experience in a managerial retail role in a store/boutique setting
  • Knowledge/interest in art, photography, literature
  • Strong understanding of retail store operations and concepts
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
