Job Description

The Hungarian Fashion and Design Agency is looking for a passionate, highly motivated sales manager who will develop the sales strategy. The fashion sales manager works closely with the Fashion Director. This position represents several fashion labels and thus becomes part of the brand mission. The fashion sales manager will be able to work online and shall be open to travel. Come and join our team where we all work to make Hungary a significant regional centre of fashion.

  • Develop sales strategies for different Hungarian brands and explore new distribution channels;
  • Maximize sales and profitability through a unique sale strategy;
  • Special focus on direct sales to exclusive boutiques and department stores in European Union and in Asia;
  • Host calls and meetings with clients;
  • Brainstorm creative ways to target and maintain new partnership;
  • Attend pop up shops;
  • Monitor competition and industry trends and provide feedback;
  • Keep an open line of communication via calls text and email; 
  • Can work independently as well as with other team members.

The Ideal Candidate


  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-3 years of work experience as fashion sales manager
  • Showroom experience would be an advantage
  • Budget/revenue management experience preferred
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Relevant network connections with international boutiques, multibrand & department stores

About Us

The Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency was established as a subsidiary of the Hungarian Tourism Agency in 2018 with the aim to provide structured and efficient professional assistance to all players of the industry. As there is vast economic and touristic potential in the fashion and design industry worldwide, the Hungarian government intends to develop these areas. The aim is to boost the recognition of the clothing and textile industries and the different branches of light industry connected to fashion and design so that their reputation and success reflect their traditions and Hungary can play a leading role in the region. In order to achieve this, it was necessary to establish a state-owned non-profit organisation that can collectively represent the actors of the industry. Throughout its work, the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency collaborates with Hungarian and international professional organisations, educational institutions, members of the public and private sectors in order to mutually implement the most important pillars of the strategy.
