Job Description

You will join an ambitious, mission-driven and rapidly-growing company. We are looking for an individual that has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong attention to detail, a high level of organisation and focus, and the ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines.

The team is growing, and we are now looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to build and develop relationships with luxury and premium lifestyle brands globally

To succeed in this role, you need a passion for luxury and or sustainability, be an excellent communicator who loves talking to clients and explaining to them Positive Luxury’s values.

  • Experience creating and implementing pipeline strategies and forecasts
  • Develop and implement strong commercial relationships with major luxury and premium brands
  • Experience selling with a consultative approach
  • Create and develop commercial opportunities with clients maximising revenue growth and consistent with the company values
  • Excellent negotiating and influencing skills
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • A complete self-starter with almost unlimited initiative
  • Experience writing and pitching proposals and presentations to senior management
  • Comfortable working as part of team as well as on your own
  • Methodical with good research skills for identifying new business opportunities
  • Comfortable spending a large percentage of your time on the phone building leads and pipeline, just sending emails doesn’t get this job done, you need to talk!
  • Excellent organisational skills with an acute attention to detail
  • Highly energetic and proactive. You’re the kind of person that likes to make things happen and get things done
  • Highly skilled networker who enjoys meeting clients at events
  • French/English bilingual at a fluent level

The Ideal Candidate

Experience Required:

  • Ideally 3 years+ of B2B experience the luxury industry
  • Strong business skills with a wealth of commercial experience of managing similar businesses
  • Project management skills and ability see through the business development cycle from opening to closing deals
  • Excellent communication and IT skills
  • The ability to manage people at all levels and influence them
  • Strong problem-solving and creative skills
  • Knowledge of how businesses operate
  • Focus customer service
  • The ability to stay calm under pressure and keep to deadlines
  • Strong sales and negotiation techniques
  • Teamworking and leadership skills
  • A flexible approach to work
  • Good attention to detail, time management and organisational skills

Language skills

  1. English, Native or bilingual proficiency
  2. French, Native or bilingual proficiency
