ABOUT THE TEAM

Reports to: VP Direct to Consumer

As a Head of Commercial Connected Retail you will drive the growth of Connected Retail by integrating a great number of new partners. You will work in close collaboration with key stakeholders to develop the strategy and way forward along with steering and leading the Connected Retail sales and key account management team.

Connected Retail is a key element of Zalando’s Platform connecting successfully online- & offline channels. Through Connected Retail, our partners can take orders from Zalando customers themselves and ship the goods directly from their physical stores. 600 stores are already showing that the integration of online and offline channels will bring very positive effects for everyone. We have ambitious growth plans: the integration of multiple new partners and the implementation of ideas such as same-day delivery occur in it. The journey with Connected Retail has just begun. WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
  • Co-development of connected retail strategy together with the VP
  • Acquisition of new partners (e.g. retailers & brands) for Connected Retail
  • Steering of account management and sales teams
  • Close cooperation with internal stakeholders like category management, logistics as well as the tech & product team and shaping of the tool
  • Define customer segmentation and specify implication for sales and account management
  • Building, growing and leading a team of more than 10 people
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Proven leadership experience of at least 5+ years
  • Profound retail experience (e.g. store operations, store network management)
  • Strong commercial mindset ideally combined with experience in sales
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with exposure to senior management
  • Strategic, conceptual and analytical mindset
  • Strong communication skills with fluency in English and German
