About the Role

The Demand Planner provides the fast pass of forecasts, analytics and support so that educated decisions can be made by all parties involved regarding the final forecast and the forecasting process.  The Demand Planner will organise the monthly forecasting cycle, Life Cycle Management process and facilitate the monthly S&OP process

Responsibilities

o  Working with the sales /forecasting team to prepare the first pass of the forecast for all regions within the brand to then review with Merchandiser

o  Manages and updates the forecasting tool according to the data provided by sales/forecasting team, brand leaders and brand controllers

o  Manages and updates the assortment line plan with any changes / new products

o  Verifies and ensures that the forecast is maintained for 9 month period to include new products, product launches and place holders

o  Responsible for maintaining ABC coding/lifecycle management with the Merchandiser, providing supporting data to the team to aid in decision making, executing those decisions with supply chain/planning team and communicating phase out decisions

o  Develop relationships with wholesale forecasting teams to help improve the overall forecasts

o  Interacts with sales teams and brand leaders to resolve issues and conflicts regarding the forecast

o  Collaborate closely with Logistics counterpart to reflect supply changes and issues appropriately in the demand plan

o  Manages S&OP meeting process

o  Organises monthly forecasting cycle for all the primary forecasters detailing deadlines, expectations and guidelines that must be followed

o  Track purchase orders and requisitions versus the approved open to buy to ensure compliance

o  Validate the forecast against the budget, product mix, line plan and product lifecycle with Merchandiser and feedback to forecasting teams any changes that need to be made

o  Support with maintenance and accuracy of price lists

o  Support the Merchandiser with the weekly/monthly reporting and seasonal sales on the E-Commerce site analyzing trends

o  Support the transferal of stock between internal warehouses and sub-assemblers in accordance with the company requirements

o  Inventory management – supporting the maintenance of current stock levels, the optimal stock levels, the level of overstocked items and the OOS positions

The Ideal Candidate

About the Candidate

o   At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role

o   The ability to communicate confidently and effectively. Influential and negotiating skills in a fast pace environment.

o   Excellent skills with Excel

o   Knowledge and understanding the difference channels of trade and the difference between wholesale and retail

o   Strong organisational and analytical skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks under a tight deadline.

o   Knowledge of SAP is desirable

o   A flexible approach to work, with a sense of humour and a ‘can do’ attitude
