Job Description

The Role

The Business Planning Analyst role will be based in London working for Link Theory UK Ltd, part of the Japanese international retailer Fast Retailing, a publicly traded Japanese corporation listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange with an annual turnover nearing US$20 billion in the fiscal year 2016.The role acts as a bridge between finance, sales, logistics and credit to define the commercial budget for the year, dividing in monthly for wholesale and daily budget for retail. 

Key Accountabilities

Budgeting & shipping

·        

Leading the Sales budgeting process acting as a bridge between Finance and Commercial Depts. and its monthly phasing (monthly for Wholesale and daily for Retail)

·        

Responsible for the Sales re-forecasting process

·        

Weekly, monthly and quarterly forecasts for Wholesale and Retail to monitor actuals against the budget in order to allow the Management to take timely actions

·        

Liaising/coordinating Sales, Credit and Logistics to ensure the monthly targets are met (orders accuracy, product receiving recap in the UK, credit issues)

Reporting

·        

Responsible for the internal reporting (sell through, market analysis, sales performance over set targets)

·        

Ad hoc analysis

EU pricing process 

·        

Responsible for the pricing process in Europe acting as a bridge between Merchandising, Sales and Finance

·        

Margins, FX and price analysis

·        

Responsible for the system accuracy liaising with global IT teamsEuropean referent point on global special projects

·        

Ad hoc analysis and general support to the office of the CEO

·        

Examples of projects: SAP implementation, introduction of new Merchandising systems, pricing & position analysis, growth plan
