Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on Head of Wholesale Distribution with strong international network and great execution skills that is willing to go the extra-mile.

In the position of Head of Wholesale Distribution you will join Aeyde in a strategic role to manage the global market expansion of our B2B business. You will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of our business to business market segment; hereunder luxurious fashion boutiques as well as design and lifestyle retailers.

You will be in charge of implementing strategies to foster growth in both the offline and online markets, to understand global potential and position the Aeyde brand strategically with the best stores worldwide. Developing a clear road map and timeline for strategic POS activations, store in store installations, or regional events both on a B2B and B2C level, as well as managing our seasonal showroom campaign are part of your role. 

As Head of Wholesale Distribution you will also be managing and administrating all operations and processes on a day-to-day basis from within the Aeyde HQ in Berlin. Making sure that all clients are serviced adequately, that processes are implemented efficiently and running smoothly is part of the operational management. Identifying opportunities to redesign processes and plan the implementation of alternate solutions, efficient alterations to the existing processes is a crucial part of this position.

On a day-to-day basis, the Head of Wholesale Distribution monitors and manages the department’s developments against target and KPIs. Business intelligence and analysis, financial reporting as well as monthly evaluations of the department’s performance are the framework to channel our growth. Forecasting, budget & capacity planning as well as structural development are your responsibilities in this position.

the task

  • Execution and further development of the aeyde sales strategy
    • Defining a 3 year strategy
    • Working on a seasonal strategy for each market
    • Setting KPIs & targets
    • Budgeting, forecasting & analysis
  •  Further development of aeyde’s sales acquisition & internationalization
    • Deepening aeyde’s retail representation in the EU market (DACH, UK, Scandinavia)
    • Driving entry into key markets such as US and Asia
    • Market research & trend analysis
  • Connecting aeyde with top tier stores and presenting the aeyde line during fashion market (Paris, NY etc.):
    • Leading market preparations and showroom activities
      • Managing the sales calendar and all related activities for each season
      •  Creating and managing all target materials for each season and supplying existing stockists with selling tools
      •  Target list management
      • Invite- and appointment management
      • Showing of product
    • Leading the after sales process
      •   Execution of excellent customer service for all existing aeyde stockists
      •  Coordinating warehouse activities for B2B clients and overlooking all shipping activities to stockists
      •  Monthly sales reporting
  • Building up & manage the future sales team
    • Recruiting of team members
    • Overseeing sales support activities
    • Leading & coaching of global sales tea
  •  Execution of pop-ups, store and co-operations

The Ideal Candidate

your profile

  • 5+ year professional work experience in the area of sales within the luxury fashion industry
  • Proven team Management skills is a plus
  • Academic degree in relevant subject matter
  • National & international relevant and up-to-date network of relevant sales contacts within the fashion industry
  • Excellent organization, communication and project management skills
  • Excellent command of the English language and German skills are strong plus
  • A pro-active and efficient team player
  • Berlin-based or willing to relocate to Berlin
