We’re on a mission to build our social shopping platform into one of the most vibrant, inspiring and creative communities in the world.

The Depop community enables anyone to buy and sell through their mobile. Merging the community aspects of social media with m-commerce, Depop allows users to simply take a photo of an item they want to sell and upload it to their profile page with one click. The integrated social features then enable users to follow each other, post comments, negotiate prices via private chat, ‘like’ items and share their activity via other social networks, as well as growing their unique brand and following on Depop.

The platform is the brainchild of Simon Beckerman, previously founder of PIG Magazine and Super Sunglasses.

Depop is powered by over 100 employees working in our London HQ and offices in Milan, NYC and LA. We practice what we preach and are active participants in independent creative entrepreneurship, joined together by our passion for our product and love of the Depop community. 

Influential users such as the booksellers of Dover Street Market Ideabooks, designer Katie Eary and fashion blogger Chiara Ferragni use Depop as a way to directly connect to their audience, giving users access to their design creations, handpicked products, collections and inspirational wardrobes. Now with 10 million users, and buoyed by a recent $20 million Series B round of funding, Depop is well positioned for global growth.
