The fashion industry has always been a key curricular focus at Philadelphia University. Today, as a comprehensive career-centered university, PhilaU offers our students more than 70 degree programs and a unique interdisciplinary, collaborative and real-world academic experience.

PhilaU fashion students benefit from a holistic approach to fashion education, one that is innovative and market-driven. Students work across disciplines, just like professionals in the fashion industry and collaborate on project for brands ranging from Isaac Mizrahi to Verizon.

Students have the opportunity to study abroad in London, Rome, Japan, Hong Kong and China; participate in short courses in Paris and other fashion hubs around the world; and spend a semester traveling to New York weekly to meet with fashion industry leaders. PhilaU students work behind the scenes at New York Fashion Week, while select students show their collections on the famed New York runways.

Through our distinctive Nexus Learning approach – active, collaborative and real-world learning with a foundation in the liberal arts – students are transformed into the kind of fashion professionals 21st-century employers are seeking to hire, as evidenced by our 95 percent job and graduate school success rate.

PhilaU students make valuable connections while in school and are hired by some of the top fashion houses in the world, including Tommy Hilfiger, PVH, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and QVC, many of whom actively recruit on campus.

The faculty of practicing professionals, state-of-the-art facilities, study abroad opportunities and our unique approach to learning enables students to creatively meet the challenges of a fast-changing global marketplace.
