Claudia Lumor is the founder, chief executive and editor-in-chief of Glitz Africa, a lifestyle publication and fashion week event of the same name. Her company has become an influential showcase for fashion creatives from Ghana and other West African nations including designers, stylists and hair and makeup artists. The magazine, which celebrated its 10 year anniversary in 2022, takes a pan-African approach to content while her fashion week event connects designers to industry platforms abroad such as the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) and Milano Unica trade show.
The Accra-based businesswoman worked in banking in London before returning to Ghana to launch Glitz Africa in 2012, in order to tap into the country's rapidly growing fashion, media and consumer market. She is an alumna of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana and studied corporate finance law at the University of Westminster in the UK.
