Gray Sorrenti

Photographer

She has developed a style all her own, but the daughter of Mario Sorrenti is proving that a photographic eye can be genetic, landing cover shoots for WSJ and Harper’s Bazaar.

Biography

Gray Sorrenti is a photographer based in New York City.

Photography is in Sorrenti’s blood: She is the daughter of fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti , who is famous for photographing spreads for Vogue and Harper's Bazaar and Kate Moss ’s Calvin Klein Obsession ads. So it’s no surprise that the 22-year-old has already made a splash in her own right. She’s shot multiple campaigns for Saint Laurent and Loewe, and has been working with the latter brand since she was only 18 years old.

Though Sorrenti says that her father is an influence on her work, she’s developed a style all her own. Her portraits are often simple, but raw and intimate, and she says that she aspires to create an image that is not just visually appealing, but also conveys emotion. In recent months, in addition to her brand work, she’s landed several cover shoots, including Jennifer Lopez for WSJ. magazine and Rihanna for Harper’s Bazaar
