Gucci Westman is one of the world’s top makeup artists, and the founder of Westman Atelier, her own cosmetics line.
Westman has help create many memorable covers for American Vogue, W, Harper’s Bazaar, AnOther Magazine and Vanity Fair, and works regularly with photographers Annie Leibovitz, Patrick Demarchelier, Mario Testino, Michael Thompson and Peter Lindbergh . Westman’s commercial clients include many of America’s most established brands. She has worked on campaigns for Oscar de la Renta , Missoni, Donna Karan , Estée Lauder, Gap and Ralph Lauren .
Known for her ability to create both natural and more elaborately designed looks with equal skill, Westman has created runway looks for Nina Ricci, Proenza Schouler, Behnaz Sarafpour, Thakoon, Peter Som, Carolina Herrera , Bill Blass and Vera Wang .
In 2003, Westman was appointed international artistic director of Lancôme, where her responsibilities included representing the brand at fashion and beauty events, styling models for advertising shoots and designing cosmetic colour collections for the label. In 2008, Westman began her role as the global artistic director at Revlon, where she provided her expertise on new product development and was a key contributor to the brand’s colour stories and trend collections until 2015. In the spring of 2018 she launched her cosmetics line Westman Atelier, which is stocked at global retailers including Barneys New York and Net-a-Porter.
In that same year, Westman appeared in a cameo in the film Sex and The City. Westman is married to Rag & Bone design David Neville, the couple have two children and are based in New York.
