Lineisy Montero

Model

The Dominican model is a runway favourite and has appeared in campaigns for Prada and Chanel.

Biography

Montero first walked the runway for Prada’s Autumn/Winter 2015 show, and has since appeared in shows for Alexander Wang , Prabal Gurung , Versace, Dior, Prada and Givenchy, among many others. She featured as a Prada exclusive in her first ever campaign, and quickly followed up her early success by booking the Spring/Summer 2016 Chanel campaign. She has since graced the covers of i-D, Dazed and Teen Vogue.

Born and raised in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, Montero was raised by her mother and grandmother alongside two siblings. Though she never aspired to be a model, she did exhibit an interest in fashion from an early age, hoping to one day become a designer. First scouted in an amusement park at the age of 14, Montero waited four years before her mother permitted her to sign with an international agency.

Boarding her first plane soon after signing, Montero made her runway debut for Prada during their Autumn/Winter 2015 show in Milan. In her youth, she was fascinated by the likes of Oscar de la Renta and Dolce & Gabbana, both of whom Montero would later walk for.

As one of the highest ranked models on Models.com (she walked in 151 shows in 2015), Montero has walked in numerous shows since making her debut, for brands such as Marni, Dior, JW Anderson , Tom Ford , Fendi and Chanel, among others. She has appeared in publications such as W Magazine, various Vogue editions around the world, and Elle France, as well as gracing the covers of Harper’s Bazaar and Antidote
