The new face of Tom Ford for Autumn/Winter 2015, Smith’s career trajectory continues to gather steam. The platinum-blonde has walked for the likes of Tom Ford, Versace, DSquared2, Jeremy Scott , Moschino and Balmain.
Raised in a small Morman town, 16-year-old Smith’s modelling career began on a family vacation to California taken in order to introduce his sister Daisy to Next model management. Smith and his three sisters all attended the meeting and were all signed the same day to Next LA. By the following weekend, Smith was shooting with Hedi Slimane .
By the time he was 15, Smith had two strong campaigns under his belt for Gap and Levi’s, the latter featuring him playing the drums in front of America’s iconic Hollywood sign. After his agency suggested he ‘edged up’ his look, Smith’s career truly took off leading him to walk for a large number of brands including Dunhill, Tom Ford, Bottega Veneta, Fendi, Salvatore Ferragamo and Sacai for Autumn/Winter 2015. He has also starred in Calvin Klein ’s CK One fragrance campaign shot by Mario Sorrenti .
Smith has become known for his dedication to communicating with fans, frequently posting his whereabouts on Instagram so fans can find and meet him. He is extensively plugged in to social media and is particularly popular in China, largely as a result of his agency Next, which has developed his presence on social media platforms such as Weibo and WeChat.
