New-face model Mona Tougaard’s striking looks — a mixture of Somalian, Ethiopian, Danish and Turkish heritage — have landed her on the runway for the likes of Prada, Valentino, Dior and Versace. She has also fronted campaigns for brands including Chanel, Max Mara, Prada and Louis Vuitton.
Originally from the small city of Aarhus, Denmark, a 15-year-old Tougaard won Denmark’s Elite Model Look competition in 2017, having first been scouted aged 12. She was soon signed to Elite in various global offices in London, Paris and Milan, and The Society Management in New York. Her first season was Autumn/Winter 2019, where she started at Prada and finished with Chanel, proving herself as one to watch in coming seasons.
