She has overseen the evolution of Shanghai Fashion Week into what is increasingly regarded as China’s most important fashion week by both Chinese and international commentators.

Biography

Overseeing the development of Shanghai Fashion Week, Lv Xiaolei, commonly known as Madame Lu, is responsible for repositioning the city as a global fashion capital by consolidating designers and talent.

Prior to her work in Shanghai Fashion Week, Lv worked textiles and clothing retail. Since joining, Lv has built Shanghai Fashion Week into a multi-dimensional event featuring both runway and trade shows, as well as industry forums.

During her tenure, under the Shanghai Fashion Week umbrella, Lv created the MODE Shanghai Fashion Trade Show — the first of its kind in the country. Under Lv’s leadership, the event has attracted numerous high-profile retailers include Lane Crawford, Opening Ceremony, and 10 Corso Como.

In 2016, Lv initiated the “Labelhood” project, a showcase dedicated to China’s young designers. Additionally, she also serves as the general manager of Shanghai International Fashion Centre and the vice president of Shanghai Fashion Designers Association.
