What is the BoF 500?

The BoF 500 is the definitive professional index of the people shaping the $2.4 trillion fashion industry, hand-selected by the editors of The Business of Fashion, based on hundreds of nominations received from current BoF 500 members, extensive data analysis and research.

Overseeing the development of Shanghai Fashion Week, Lv Xiaolei, commonly known as Madame Lu, is responsible for repositioning the city as a global fashion capital by consolidating designers and talent.

During her tenure, under the Shanghai Fashion Week umbrella, Lv created the MODE Shanghai Fashion Trade Show — the first of its kind in the country. Under Lv’s leadership, the event has attracted numerous high-profile retailers include Lane Crawford, Opening Ceremony, and 10 Corso Como.

In 2016, Lv initiated the “Labelhood” project, a showcase dedicated to China’s young designers. Additionally, she also serves as the general manager of Shanghai International Fashion Centre and the vice president of Shanghai Fashion Designers Association.
