SCAD is an arts and design university offering a broad range of degrees including fashion education. Located across three continents, SCAD operates campuses in Savannah, its main location, Atlanta, Hong Kong and the French town of Lacoste. Students have the possibility to move between different geographic locations. SCAD offers undergraduate courses in fashion design or marketing and management, and was amongst the first to teach a masters degree in luxury and fashion management. It has continued to expand its course offering to include an MA in fashion, accessory design and jewellery. SCAD scored highly for its resources and campus facilities, but the institution’s careers services scored only average in relation to other schools in our survey.
"SCAD was all about collaboration across majors. Because of this, we had the opportunity to get our hands into various industries. We created truly unique products by putting our heads together."
"Great collaboration between professors and students. Classes are small and leave space for one-on-one instruction and help. Studio classes are Monday through Thursday, which is very helpful in a creative environment. Great facilities in a wonderful city."
"The location, though not a fashion capital like New York, provided charm and clarity while working through my programme. I was able to focus and appreciate my goals, my fellow classmates, my craft, my teachers and so on. I feel my education and SCAD was exactly what I needed, to foster and hone my skills as a designer at the current stage of my life while in school."
