Founded in 1964 in Rome, Academia di Costume e di Moda is one of the few educational establishments in the world that serves both the fashion industry and the costume needs of the entertainment industry. According to the ratings of students in our survey, the weakest parts of the school’s curriculum are the marketing and businesses components. Still, both scored marginally above the average score in our student survey. Students ranked the academy’s career services highly, and over 70 percent of participating students found a job within 6 months of graduating. At the academy, students benefit from an engaged alumni network, some of which teach master-classes and give career testimonials at the school. The school is currently in the process of expanding resources with the addition of a sewing laboratory, couture dedicated studio spaces, an accessories design workshop and specialist machinery.
