Global Fashion School Rankings 2016
HEAD – Genève, Geneva University of Art and Design
Geneva, Switzerland
Housed in the heart of Geneva, originally built in the 19th century as a school for the industrial arts, The Geneva University of Art and Design or Haute Ecole d’Art et Design de Genève (HEAD) offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in art and design. The school’s campus and resources, which include large workshop rooms and textile machinery, achieved high scores in our survey. Both undergraduate and postgraduate students rated the school’s marketing, business, digital technology and sustainability courses far below average, while technical skills courses were rated above average. Other noted areas for improvement include the school’s career services and quality of recruiters. However, students were satisfied with the international and gender diversity of the student body, as well as the quality of their teachers.

Student & Alumni Comments
"Great opportunity to sharpen one's independent thinking and personal universe."
"Friendly environment, experienced teachers, hard exams in the fashion department and highly-demanding work load."
"The level of teaching, the infrastructures and the materials we could access were more than I expected! A lot of workshops, a big mix of students and a full access to all the facilities! If I could, I would do it again and again."
"A great school in terms of resources (teachers, speakers, concept developing, facilities etc), but there is no help to find a job or even an internship after graduating, which is a shame because the level of this school is super high! A real shame that the school doesn't have a stronger network and it should really work hard on this aspect!"
