PolyU is the largest publicly funded higher education institution in Hong Kong in terms of student population. The school’s admission process is extremely competitive with an acceptance rate of around 2 percent (146 out of 6290 applicants accepted in 2015)—one of the lowest acceptance rates of schools ranked in our survey. Generally in our survey, postgraduate students were more satisfied with the school than undergraduate students. While graduate students rated the school’s course offerings above average across the board, undergraduate students rated the courses below average. Graduate students were satisfied with the school’s global content and reacted positively to the school’s global fashion management course, which is a collaborative programme with FIT and IFM.

Student & Alumni Comments
"Knowledge-based with lab practice, which provided valuable information about textiles and fashion."
"It's the best school of fashion in Hong Kong which provides students exploration in technical skills and mind-set. However the lack of resources, such as spaces and materials like sewing machines, inhibits the potential of the students in their creation."
