NABA - Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti

Milan, Italy

Nuova Academia di Belle Arti is housed in a recently renovated industrial complex in Milan’s historical Navigli district. Established in 1980, NABA was the first private academy officially recognised by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research. Our survey showed strong results regarding students’ contentment with the institution’s campus and resources, while satisfaction with the school’s work placements was low. Students rated the school’s course offerings in technical skills highly, but expressed dissatisfaction with courses in business and sustainability. Other noted areas for improvement include the school’s career services as well as accessibility to alumni. Overall, students in our survey were content with the quality of their peers and teachers.

Student & Alumni Comments

"NABA is a great fashion school with skilled and experienced staff. Almost all of the teachers are experienced in the industry and the curriculum is very good. I would have liked to have a greater focus on sustainability and business/marketing though, as it is equally as important in today's fashion industry as great design."

Student

"I have met kind, helpful, very talented and creative people here, both colleagues and teachers, coming from all over the world. Some things still need to be figured out inside the school, but overall my experience here was highly positive."

Student

"A creative space where technique matters but ideas, creativity and developing a concept means everything. As it should be."
