Bunka Fashion Graduate University

In the heart of Tokyo, close to the famous Shibuya district, Bunka Fashion Graduate University is one of four schools that are part of the Bunka Gakuen Education Foundation. Opened in 2006, with two divisions of specialisation, fashion creation and fashion management, Bunka was the first institution in Japan to specialise in skills-based graduate education.Within the school there are three key focuses: design, technology and management. Bunka achieved high scores for its marketing and business courses - each receiving 73 percent satisfaction from students. In addition, students also scored the resources available to them on campus highly. Scores for technical skills courses and digital innovation were 86 and 80 percent respectively, and correlatively, 90 percent of MA graduates believed they were prepared to enter the industry following graduation. However, despite feeling prepared to enter the industry, students scored Bunka's career services and networking opportunities averagely. Overall, students were satisfied with the diversity and quality of the student body, and the teaching staff at Bunka Graduate University received a strong 86 percent score.
