Student & Alumni Comments

"FIT's Fashion Design programme is highly technical, and prepares students well for the industry. The curriculum is very intense and covers everything from pattern making and cutting to technical flats and print design. What FIT lacks is creative freedom, experimentation and keeping up with current fashion. "

Student

"FIT provides an outstanding curriculum for its students. The university is in a prime location that allows students to get involved in the industry and network while still in school. The students are all very determined and motivated, and the faculty members have years of experience in their fields."

Student

"FIT's Global Fashion Management masters gets down to the business of creating fashion. It is important how things are made; they drill this into you. They let creativity be there amongst the work. Fashion is alive and growing; it is a beautiful and functional piece of art. However, they do not let you forget at the end of the day that it has to be worn and it has to be made. That is the most important part of our fashion education."

Alumni

"My experience at FIT's graduate school was exemplary: educational, challenging and truly global in scope. The MPS in Global Fashion Management is one of the few graduate programmes that focuses solely on the 'business of fashion' at a very senior, academic level. The network that FIT provides during and after graduation is also incredible. "
