Middlesex University

London, United Kingdom

Fashion at Middlesex University is taught within the school's £80 million purpose-built building, The Grove, which gives students access to a wide range of art and design workshops and facilities. Students in our survey ranked both the school's campus and resources among the highest in our survey, with almost 90 percent of students satisfied. Students' ranking of the school's course offerings in technical skills came in above average compared to other schools, but courses in marketing, business and sustainability were rated poorly. Middlesex also scored below average in its ability to attract quality recruiters. During their studies, all students will complete internships, with 88 percent of respondents believing they were prepared for the workplace upon graduation.

Student & Alumni Comments

"I enjoyed my time at MDX. However, I felt the education was somewhat narrow. Fashion designers need to be versed in both the creative and commercial. MDX excels at the creative, but the business education needs to be improved."

Alumni

"Really helped me establish the skills and concepts required to work in industry. Exposed me to the London fashion scene and industry networks while studying. "

Student

"The facilities were fantastic, better than any other university I had visited. Mac suites all over campus, editing studios equipped with all possible programmes, green rooms, dark rooms, colour printing rooms, photo studios, 3D printing, laser-cutting, woodwork shop, VR kits, life drawing classes, all presented in a bright building designed specifically for 'creative' courses."
