The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts is one of Denmark's oldest schools, founded in 1754. It is located in Copenhagen's historic Charlottenborg Palace, where architecture and design have been taught for over 250 years. The MA Fashion Design programme offers four pathways, womenswear, menswear, textile knit and textile print, with a focus on Danish design tradition. The school is very selective, with a six percent acceptance rate for the BA course, with most students going on to complete the masters course afterwards. Students are, overall, satisfied with the quality of the student body, with 90 percent of BA respondents identifying themselves as such. While the academy's courses in technology and digital innovation were scored highly by students, the institution really excels in sustainability related education, scoring the highest in the ranking, with 85 percent satisfaction rate for the BA programme. The academy also scores well for resources - the library, workrooms and campus all achieved student satisfaction rates of over 80 percent. However, notably, students do not complete internships until entering masters courses and the school achieved poor results relating to the quality of recruiters it attracts.
