The cosmetics giant’s new Los Angeles area HQ will gather teams from its California-based brands — NYX, Urban Decay and Pulp Riot — on one campus, and host the first-ever West Coast L’Oréal Professional Products Academy which will be a gathering place for the professional beauty community as well as an education hub.
The news comes as companies across the globe debate the role of the office today. L’Oréal’s “campus,” which will open in 2022, is designed for employees to embrace a hybrid work model post-pandemic. In August of last year, L’Oréal announced that its employees will be able to continue working remotely two days a week if they choose.
L’Oréal USA’s expansion into California has been part of a decade-long effort to further its presence in the strategic market. The company’s first headquarters is located in the Hudson Yards neighbourhood of Manhattan.
