The country’s retail sales dropped, though at a better-than-expected pace, in March, following an 18.1 percent decline in February, Reuters reports.

The figure was boosted by strong fuel sales, while apparel and other amenities continue to lag behind. But optimism is in the air: Bank Indonesia, which expected March sales to reveal at 17.1 percent decline, forecasts that the market will see a 9.8 percent boost in retail sales in April.
