The 7.3 magnitude earthquake, which struck February 14 and injured at least 100 people across six prefectures including Miyagi and Fukushima, damaged garment and knit factories in the Tohoku region. But employees were unharmed and manufacturers have resumed operations, Senken Shimbun reported.

For companies like Shiraishi Polytex, Azot and Itabashi Nit, yesterday was business as usual. Some nearby roads and malls have been temporarily closed, but no major damage has been reported.
