A rebound in demand saw the country’s April duty-free sales grow at the fastest pace in three years, Pulse News reports.

Sales increased 51.6 percent, according to official data released Tuesday — the fastest annual growth rate since May 2018. But the value of sales remains below pre-pandemic levels due to continuing travel restrictions.

Bags and footwear were in particularly high demand last month, with sales surging 108 percent year-on-year.
