The tool allows users to broadcast live with up to three other people, more than the previous two-person Instagram Live limit. Instagram said that adding multiple guests is increases users’ reach, as guests’ followers can also be notified.

The feature is also being rolled out with a series of fashion-related discussions, including talks with Instagram fashion personalities like Louis Pisano and Jose Criales-Unzueta who will review the Paris Fashion Week collections. Instagram is also worked with Adwoa Beauty and Uoma Beauty for “Buy Black” sessions on March 3.

The rollout comes at a time when fashion is paying more attention to the audio-only live broadcasting app Clubhouse. On Clubhouse, speakers can invite listeners to participate in the discussions, though there are some differences between the two formats. Clubhouse is audio-only, rooms can theoretically invite up to 5,000 people to participate in a chat.
