Mallevays was founder and managing partner of luxury M&A advisory firm Savigny Partners. He will serve as co-head of Stanhope’s merchant banking unit, alongside Nigel Spray, and Savigny’s existing client portfolio will be rolled into Stanhope.
Mallevays has over 30 years of experience in M&A, serving as director of acquisitions at LVMH, where he worked closely with chairman and chief executive Bernard Arnault, before setting up Savigny Partners. His clients have included Lanvin, Celine, Christian Lacroix and Byredo. The move, which will spearhead Stanhope’s expansion into M&A and capital markets, comes at a time of widespread consolidation across the fashion and luxury industry. Mallevays is also the author of BoF’s monthly Market Pulse column.
