Condé Nast on Sept. 3 announced the appointment of Kapoor as Vogue India’s head of editorial content.
Kapoor will lead Vogue India’s editorial team and oversee strategy while working closely with Vogue’s global editorial director Anna Wintour and Leslie Sun, director of Vogue APAC and editor-in-chief of Vogue Taiwan. She succeeds the publication’s long-time editor-in-chief Priya Tanna, who helmed it since its launch in 2007 and exited in May.
Kapoor founded and was the editor and creative director of Inprint magazine, and before that, fashion editor at Oyster Magazine. She currently resides in Sydney but will be moving to India in coming months.
More editors-in-chief are expected to exit the publisher as it streamlines its operations, putting its largest titles under global and regional leadership.
