Dermott Sullivan and Don Allen will both join the e-commerce platform, effective July 1, in the newly created roles chief operating officer and chief information officer, respectively. Sullivan’s new role, will replace the SVP supply chain position, previously held by Nikhil Soares, who has left the company. Sullivan, the former SVP of finance at Hudson Bay, has also served in leadership roles including finance and marketing, at Neiman Marcus Group. Allen joins from packaging company Datec, where he served as a technology leadership consultant.
Moda Operandi also announced the appoint of Mark McClendon as SVP global marketing sales. The expanded role includes oversight of the sales organisation and marketing. McClendon’s role will replace the role of VP of marketing and e-commerce strategy, which was previously held by Patrick Emanuel, who has already left the company.
Following its recent funding from investment company G Squared and venture capital New Enterprise Associates in May, Moda Operandi chief executive Jim Gold announced the new appointments in anticipation of post-pandemic retail growth.
