Agenda-setting intelligence, analysis and advice for the global fashion community.
LONDON, United Kingdom — As the cruise season hit its latest peak with Dior's show in Cannes this week (don't miss our in-depth video interview with Raf Simons on his journey at Dior thus far), we have a couple of important BoF Community announcements.
As many of you will have seen, tragedy struck again in Nepal, which suffered a second earthquake registering 7.3 on the Richter scale, following another major earthquake on April 25. On both occasions, members of the BoF Community have taken the lead with building awareness and raising funds for the relief effort, which we at BoF are more than happy to support. Following Prabal Gurung's valiant efforts after the first quake, our friends from Fashion Girls for Humanity — Julie Gilhart, Tomoko Ogura and Miki Higasa — have teamed up with Charity Buzz to create an online auction to raise money for the relief efforts. For further information on the fundraiser and how you can help, please visit Fashion Girls for Humanity.
Before we sign off for the week, I also wanted to share the exciting news that BoF is looking for talented people across all of our teams in Editorial, Marketing, Operations, Sales and Technology. Please visit our Careers page for all the details. We have often found that members of our own community make the best BoF team members. Please get in touch and tell us more about you and your skills.
