This week, Rent the Runway appoints WeWork president to its board of directors, while Burberry announces the appointment its of chief marketing officer.

Rent the Runway adds WeWork president to board of directors
Artie Minson, president and chief financial officer of WeWork, has been appointed to Rent the Runway's board of directors with immediate effect. Minson will also serve as chair of the board audit committee.

Burberry taps Calvin Klein's Rod Manley for chief marketing officer
Burberry has announced the appointment of Rod Manley as chief marketing officer, effective January 1, 2019. Manley joins the company from Calvin Klein, where he was executive vice president, influence marketing & communications. He will report to chief executive Marco Gobbetti in his new role.

Vogue Ukraine names new editor-in-chief
Philip Vlasov has been appointed editor-in-chief of Vogue Ukraine, effective January 2019. He replaces Olga Sushko, who was initially suspended amid plagiarism allegations. Vlasov helped found and lead the fashion department of Vogue Ukraine, but most recently worked as creative director of Ukrainian fashion retailer Asthik Group.

Benetton taps outgoing Salvatore Ferragamo CFO
Benetton Group has hired Ugo Giorcelli, chief financial officer of Salvatore Ferragamo, to fill the role of staff general director from March 2019. Giorcelli is set to leave Salvatore Ferragamo January 11.

Kering adds to board of directors
Héloise Temple-Boyer has been appointed to Kering's board as a representative of Financière Pinault, the holding company of Artémis, where she is deputy chief executive. She replaces Patricia Barbizet, who is stepping down from her position as vice-chairman of the board.

Global Brands Group names CFO and chief operating officer
Global Brands Group has named Mark Caldwell its chief financial officer, replacing Ronald Ventricelli, who will now assume the role of chief operating officer and president of North America. Caldwell was previously vice president of finance for the company. Both report to chief executive Rick Darling.

Hobbs CEO steps down
TFG London, which owns British retailers Hobbs, Whistles and Phase Eight, has announced that Justin Hampshire, managing director of Whistles, will replace Meg Lustman as chief executive of Hobbs. Hampshire will be replaced by current Whistles brand director Helen Williamson. TFG London has also named Simon Pickering, former fashion buying and merchandising director for House of Fraser, as managing director of Phase Eight.

Laura Ashley chairman retires
British fashion and homeware brand Laura Ashley has announced the resignation of chairman Tan Sri Dr Khoo Kay Peng, effective immediately. He is to be replaced by Andrew Khoo Boo Yeow, who currently serves as executive chairman of Laura Ashley owner MUI and will become a non-executive chairman of the company with immediate effect.
