Fashion 2.0 | Topshop and Google Plan Data-Savvy Digital Runway (Fashion 2.0)
"In recent cycles, fashion shows, once closed industry events, have become something of a spectator sport for the hundreds of thousands of people who follow the play-by-play online. Now, British high street brand Topshop has teamed up with technology giant Google to stage a realtime consumer extravaganza around the live stream of its Topshop Unique show."

Finding Your M.O. | Part 15: Customer Loyalty and Satisfaction (Education)
"Every M'O customer is important. But we are also mindful of the fact that our business is a classic example of the so-called 80/20 rule: about 20 percent of our customers drive about 80 percent of the revenue. This means that some customers are "top customers," who we treat very well. Of course, the 80/20 dynamic is not unique to M'O."

Photo Diary | NYFW, Days 6-8: Rodarte, Siki Im, Diesel, Sophie Theallet, Jeremy Scott… (Photo Diary)
"Today, contributing photographer Sonny Vandevelde files backstage imagery from the Rodarte, Siki Im, Diesel, Sophie Theallet, Jeremy Scott, Reed Krakoff, Perry Ellis, Anna Sui and Calvin Klein shows, held over days six, seven and eight of New York fashion week."

"Straight from day five of the Autumn/Winter 2013 collections, trusty lensman Sonny Vandevelde brings us backstage imagery from the Marc by Marc Jacobs, Ohne Title, Tim Coppens, Tommy Hilfiger and Karen Walker shows."

"BoF contributing photographer Sonny Vandevelde brings us backstage imagery from the Derek Lam, DKNY, Thakoon and Diane von Furstenberg shows, held on day four of New York Fashion Week."

Being Thom Browne: His Moment Is Now (NY Times)
"'Other designers get cross-pollinated a lot,' Michael Hainey, deputy editor of GQ, said in discussing Mr. Browne. 'You know, suddenly everyone's showing orange this season because that designer's fabric person is researching the same fabric as three other people. Thom stands apart. He's always stood apart.' He is a game-changer, Mr. Hainey added, a designer whose aesthetic, like those of Coco Chanel or Alexander McQueen, is skewed so singularly that it takes some time for a viewer's eye to adjust."

Out of Sight, but Making His Presence Known (NY Times)
"Necks craned at Oscar de la Renta's show to see if two men would take their bow. If you haven't heard, John Galliano spent the last month working in the de la Renta studio, a first move to possibly salvaging his wrecked career… Though it's pointless to speculate about exactly what he may have designed, it's clear his presence made a difference. Mr. de la Renta seemed pleased to have him there."
