This week, London's The Times appointed Jeremy Langmead to lead its relaunched Luxx magazine, and Loewe named Céline's Pascale Lepoivre as its new chief executive officer.

LONDON, United Kingdom — BoF compiles the most important professional moves of the week.

Jeremy Langmead to Head Luxx
British newspaper The Times is relaunching its quarterly luxury magazine, Luxx, with Jeremy Langmead as editor-in-chief. The first issue will launch on December 3. Langmead, a former editor at Esquire, Wallpaper* and The Evening Standard, who also launched The Sunday Times Style magazine, will retain his current role as brand and content director at Mr Porter.

Loewe Appoints CEO
Loewe has hired Céline's executive vice president, Pascale Lepoivre, as chief executive officer. She succeeds Lisa Montague. Prior to Céline, Lepoivre was director of fashion and leather goods at Louis Vuitton.

CEO Exits American Apparel
Paula Schneider has resigned as chief executive officer of American Apparel, effective October 3. Schneider is succeeded by the company's general counsel and chief administrative officer Chelsea Grayson. Schneider joined American Apparel in 2014 to turn around the troubled retailer, which exited Chapter 11 in February and is currently exploring a possible sale.

Nordstrom Promotes Ken Worzel
Nordstrom has promoted Ken Worzel to president of Nordstrom.com. Worzel has been Nordstrom's executive vice president of strategy and development since 2010, before which he was a consultant at Markakon Associates and McKinsey & Company.

Yoox Net-a-Porter Group Hires Chief People Officer
Yoox Net-a-Porter Group has named Deborah Lee chief people officer. Lee will lead the group's human resources division, effective January 2017. Lee previously served as chief human resources officer at BT Global Services.

Esquire Names Style Director
Matthew Marden has joined Esquire as style director, effective immediately. A former freelance stylist and consultant, Marden also spent more than a decade as fashion director at Details magazine.
