Ariel Foxman Promoted at InStyle and StyleWatch
Ariel Foxman has been promoted to the role of editorial director of the magazines InStyle and StyleWatch. Foxman previously served as editor in chief of InStyle and will retain this title going forward. Susan Kaufman, the founding editor of StyleWatch, which began as an offshoot of People magazine and is now a standalone publication, was subsequently dismissed and her replacement will be named by Foxman. InStyle publisher Nina Lawrence will assume oversight of both titles, which are published by Time Inc.
Rebekka Bay Leaves Gap
Rebekka Bay, executive vice president and creative director of Gap, has left the company. Bay joined the American retailer in 2012 after launching H&M's upscale label COS. Bay's position has been eliminated and she will not be replaced. This week, the company also appointed Scott Key, who has previously served in senior roles within Gap Inc., as senior vice president and general manager of customer experience.
Michael Kliger Named MyTheresa.com President
Neiman Marcus Group has appointed Michael Kliger as president of online fashion retailer MyTheresa.com and the Theresa flagship store in Munich, effective March 1. Kleiger previously served as vice president of Europe and Asia Pacific for eBay Enterprises. MyTheresa's managing director Dr. Thomas Mueller has also stepped down. Last October, the American luxury retailer Neiman Marcus Group acquired MyTheresa from its founders Christoph and Suzanne Botschen and private equity firm Acton Capital Partners.

Avon Names James Scully Executive Vice President and CFO
James S. Scully has joined global beauty company Avon as executive vice president and chief financial officer after nine years at American fashion retailer J. Crew, where he held the position of chief operating officer. Scully's transition, to take effect before April, is the second executive loss this month for J. Crew, after former chief financial officer Stuart Haselden left the company to join Canadian activewear brand Lululemon.
Mango Recruits Toni Ruiz as New CFO
Spanish high street retailer Mango has appointed Toni Ruiz as its new chief financial officer, effective mid-February. CEO Enric Casa has also stepped down after 20 years at the helm of the Spanish fashion group, but will continue to sit on the board. Ruiz, alongside chief operations and strategy officer Carlos Costa, will take on Casa's duties until a new CEO is named. Ruiz was previously financial manager at French home-improvement retailer Leroy Merlin.
Top Nike Executive Joins Under Armour
Peter Ruppe has been named as Under Armour's senior vice president of footwear as part of the brand's strategy to grow its footwear business. Ruppe previously spent 25 years at Nike where he held roles including vice president. Kip Fulks will continue to oversee Under Armour's footwear segment, a position he has held since 2013. Ruppe succeeds previous senior vice president of footwear Gene McCarthy, who left the company in February 2013.
