Benji B

Benji Benstead, known as Benji B, is a London-based DJ and music and sound director for Louis Vuitton menswear. A frequent Virgil Abloh -collaborator, he soundtracked the late designer’s final show in 2022 alongside Tyler, the Creator, offering up everything from electronic music to hip-hop and house.

Raised by a composer and former dance teacher, the DJ grew up playing saxophone and eventually worked on weekends at Kiss FM, a 1980s pirate radio station that now plays popular chart music. He started collaborating with Ye , the American rapper formerly known as Kanye West, in the early 2010s, and worked as the music director of Phoebe Philo ’s Céline from 2015 to 2018, before joining Louis Vuitton. He has also worked with Supreme and Stüssy, among other brands.

Benstead hosts a weekly show on BBC’s Radio 1 and has a multi-year stint of hosting his club night Deviation sessions in North London, which he founded in 2007 and where he instals his own sound system.
