LONDON, United Kingdom — Our weekly mantra contains curated career advice from leading executives, entrepreneurs and creatives in conversation with BoF. Today's mantra comes from Dean and Dan Caten, the designer duo behind Italian label DSquared2 (read the full interview here).

It's always, always better to work for someone else and to learn. My boss used to always say, make your mistakes on my money. Because then when you're ready, you've already made the mistakes you need to.

This week, we are pleased to introduce two new partners to BoF Careers.

Womenswear label Self-Portrait was founded by Han Chong in 2013. With a celebrity following that includes the likes of Miranda Kerr and Jordan Dunn, and stockists such as Net-a-Porter, Luisaviaroma, Neiman Marcus and Selfridges, the London-based company is hiring an assistant designer and a junior graphic designer.

To produce ranges of accessories, jewellery and home interiors, as well as clothing, Mimi Fasi takes inspiration from Mediterranean and African-Oriental aesthetics. Also based in London, the company is looking for a pattern designer with experience in women's couture — to work closely with the founder and creative director.
