Duffy is a hair stylist. From partially bald mullets on Bella and Gigi Hadid at Marc Jacobs ’ runway show to fuzzy blue and orange hair extensions at Rick Owens , he is known for his innovative and bold approach to hair artistry.
Duffy got his start in beauty as a teenager working at a local barbershop in Surrey. At age 15, with the support of his mum, he landed a weekend gig at the Vidal Sassoon salon in London and left school for a full-time apprenticeship position. He later assisted fashion hair stylist Eugene Souleiman , working his way up the ranks backstage at shows such as Alexander McQueen and Louis Vuitton. Duffy’s big editorial break came at a GQ shoot, when he shaved a pattern into a writer’s head. He soon embarked on his solo career by creating experimental runway looks for up-and-coming designers like Dr Noki and Peter Jensen.
Duffy has since led backstage hair at Marc Jacobs, Rick Owens, Louis Vuitton, YSL and Bottega Veneta. His editorial portfolio includes hairstyles featured on the covers of Vogue Paris, Vogue Italia and i-D. He has an extensive fashion campaign portfolio that includes Alexander McQueen, Loewe, Prada, Saint Laurent, Valentino, Louis Vuitton, Bottega Veneta and Dior.
