Biography

Imruh Asha is the fashion director at Dazed magazine. With a keen eye for fashion and a perspective influenced by fine art, Asha has redefined the boundaries of styling.

The Dutch-Caribbean stylist got his start at an Amsterdam concept store before moving to Paris, marking the beginning of numerous collaborations with photographers, brands and magazines, shaping editorials, brand imagery, product development and more. In 2021, he was appointed fashion editor at Dazed; the next year, he was promoted to fashion director.

Asha's work is characterised by a vibrant and eclectic use of colour, structural silhouettes and a harmonious blend of textures and movement. His recent projects include high-profile campaigns for Moncler, Pucci, Jacquemus and Hèrmes.

His work seamlessly blends art and fashion, and he has developed a reputation for pushing the boundaries of conventional styling, notably with a groundbreaking series that aimed to shatter the  Guinness World Record for the most neckties worn at once, photographed for Dazed by Andrea Artemisio.
