Biography

More than just a face, the actress and filmmaker wields real power connecting the fashion industry to the wider Russian creative community and relevant government officials thanks to her long career in film. She is an ambassador for both Louis Vuitton and Chanel. 

Litvinova was born in Soviet Moscow to doctor parents. In 1984, she went on to study at the Gerasimov Insititute of Cinematography (VGIK), graduating in 1989. During her time at VGIK, she screen wrote her first independent film, "The Much Loved Rita" in 1998. She later went on to find success in film as an actress. 

As a result, the Russian arthouse-cinema cult figure Renathas sat on several juries at International film festivals, including Moscow, Berlin and Rotterdam. Aside from screenwriting and acting, Litvinova has directed numerous documentaries since her non-fiction directorial debut, No Death For Me, in 2000. For a brief period Litvinova was appointed creative director for Numéro Russia, but left the publication in 2016. 

Litvinova has close relationships with Vetements and Balenciaga creative director Demna Gvasalia , superstylist Lotta Volkova and their creative clique. In 2016, Litvinova directed Gosha Rubchinskiy 's Spring/Summer 2017 accompanying short film. Additionally, the film star has had a long-time friendship with Russian musical artist Zemfira Ramazanov, with whom she first collaborated in 2008. In June 2016, Zemfira released a limited-edition set of hoodies in collaboration with Vetements, after Litvinova introduced the Russian singer to creative director Demna Gvasalia.
