Biography

Allen Yang is the co-founder of VIPStore, a Chinese e-commerce firm which in 2012 attracted a $15 million investment, led by US department store Macy’s.

The store has two major channels. The full price channel “carries ‘in season’ current fashion items that our customers can purchase anytime, anyplace.” VIPStore also launches more than ten new sales campaigns every day including apparel, watches, leather goods, cosmetics, wine, and other luxury items.

VIPStore was launched in 2009 and has quickly become the leading online retailer of global luxury brands in China. VIPStore is the sister site to successful European online retailer BuyVip.com, it is backed by leading venture capital funds from the US and China.

VIPStore believes its exclusive sourcing channels are the key to its success. “We’ve been authorised by over 500 luxury brands all over the world. We carry well-known labels like Louis Vuitton, Dior, Fendi, Gucci, Prada, Burberry, Guess, Coach, Victoria’s Secret and Versace as well as emerging brands from Europe and the US.”

In 2006, Yang was managing director of Greater China for Spreadshirt, an online merchandising firm. He left the role to become chief executive of LemonQuest, a publisher of mobile games and personalisation products, delivering content in 80 countries worldwide. In March 2009, LemonQuest was recognised as one of the top 10 brand content providers by China Mobile.
