Biography

Leslie Sun is the editorial director of Vogue’s Asia-Pacific region, comprising the Japan, India and Taiwan markets. Sun, who was born in Los Angeles and raised in Taipei, has held that position at publisher Condé Nast since 2021. Overseeing content for those three respective editions of Vogue, she is focused on elevating local stories on the magazine’s global platform. Sun also serves as head of editorial content at Vogue Taiwan, which she joined in 2019 as editor-in-chief, reinventing the title with experimental CGI covers and AR fashion features that challenged the boundaries of the print magazine format.

A passionate art collector, Sun’s career began at Los Angeles fashion boutique Mameg. She went on to work at Green Dragon Office, a studio specialising in publication design, creating exhibition catalogues for the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), the Hammer Museum, both in Los Angeles, and the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, as well as numerous artist monographs. In 2012, Sun moved to Taipei, founding Sunset, a former home lifestyle store that transitioned to a creative agency focusing on art and design called Sunset Projects. Sun pursued an MFA in graphic design from the California Institute of the Arts and received a Bachelor’s in business from the University of Southern California.
