Biography

A former photographer, Olivier Massart is the founder of La Mode en Images, a Parisian events-management company that produces fashion shows, international events and art exhibitions, since it launched in 1981. Clients include Alexander McQueen, Valentino, Vetements, Cartier and Louis Vuitton, to name a few. Most recently, the agency produced the set and show for Valentino Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 2019, the shows for Rick Owens and Alexander McQueen for Spring/Summer 2019 men’s ready-to-wear, and Virgil Abloh ’s highly anticipated show for Louis Vuitton Men Spring/Summer 2019.

La Mode en Images has been operating since the 80s, billing itself as the architects of events and dreams for luxury, fashion and entertainment. To date, they have held over 7,500 events. Outside of fashion, accessories, fragrances and beauty, the agency also works with wines and spirits, institutions and sporting events, including the centenary of the Eiffel Tower in 1989 and the opening ceremony for the Rugby World Cup in 2007. The company organised an Yves Saint Laurent fashion show at the Stade de France for the FIFA World Cup in 1998. The company’s exhibition credits most recently include the tribute to Azzedine Alaïa in Paris and Dior’s “The Art of Colour” at Recontres d'Arles.

Olivier Massart and his wife Patrizia, an interior designer, opened The Domaine des Andéols hotel in Provence. The hotel is filled with 20 years’ worth of the Massarts’ accumulated paintings, photographs and furniture, and is a space dedicated to artists, designers, friends and creatives.
