Biography
Wissam Al Mana is managing director of the Al Mana Group. His father, the late Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana, founded the Qatari conglomerate — which includes multiple ventures across a variety of sectors including real estate and car rental — in 1951. Today, the group operates 55 companies in eight countries, employing over 3,500 personnel. Wissam Al Mana’s focus lies in the retail division; as a group board member he also manages specific group companies.
The Al Mana Group’s fashion portfolio includes licenses and franchises for a range of brands from luxury labels like Balenciaga, Hermès, Dior Homme, Alexander McQueen and Loro Piana, to fast fashion retailers including Mango, Zara and United Colours of Benetton.
Al Mana was raised in West London and developed an interest in fashion and retail at an early age. His reputation as a strong, entrepreneurial businessman is a result of his consistent record of delivering results in development, growth, revenue, operational performance and profitability.
Al Mana is also the co-founder of London-based art gallery Lazinc.
